"Exterminate! Exterminate!"

Doctor Who - Dalek Warriors

Description: Popular catchphrase of the Daleks, a mobile army of deadly robot warriors on the sci-fi series DOCTOR WHO/BBC/1963-90.

Created by Davros, a physically impaired scientist from the planet Skaro (injured in an explosion), the Daleks initially were designed to eliminate a rival race of Thals.

Unfortunately, like Frankenstein’s monster, these salt & pepper shakers on wheels (genetically altered beings called Kaleds were encased within) became uncontrollable and soon they began their conquest of the galaxy.

Davros: For the last time. I am your creator! You must, you WILL obey me!
Dalek: We obey no-one. We are the superior beings! Exterminate!

Those who stand in the way of the Daleks are greeted with the garbled, robotic directive “Exterminate! Exterminate!” The Daleks most formidable enemy is the renegade, time traveler known as the Doctor, who time and time again defeats the Dalek's plans for galactic domination.

Note: Created by writer Terry Nation, The Daleks debuted in the second DOCTOR. WHO adventure “The Dead Planet” (1963) and have appeared in the motion pictures Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965) and Dr. Who: Invasion Earth 2150 (1966).

In 2005, the Daleks returned to TV in the continuation of the DOCTOR WHO series starring Christopher Eccleston and later David Tennant and Matt Smith as The Doctor.
