"You miserable bitch!”

Dynasty - Catfight between Kystle Carrington and Alexis Colby

Description - Spoken by the beautiful Krystle Jennings Carrington (Linda Evans) to the devilish Alexis Carrington Colby (Joan Collins) in the now famous cat fight that climaxed in the mansion lily pond on an episode of the prime time soap DYNASTY/ABC/1981-89.

The lily pond fight began when Alexis says, "I know what's wrong with you... The empty armed Madonna, mourning the baby that she couldn't have and the baby that she almost got to adopt... Gone now... That is it, isn't it?" Since Alexis was the cause of Krystle's msicarriage, it was no surprise that she responded, " You miserable bitch!"

Alexis:
Nine months, are you pregnant?
Krystle:
Yes.
Alexis:
Congratulations.
Krystle:
Thank you.
Alexis:
Not that it's all that special. I mean, even worms can procreate.

The DYNASTY TV series followed the saga of the a wealthy Denver family in the oil business. Blake Carrington (John Forsythe), the patriarch is married to Krystle, his former secretary. Blake's children included Adam (Gordon Thompson), kidnapped as a child; Fallon (Pamela Sue Martin/Emma Samms), the spoiled daughter; Steven (Jack Coleman), his openly gay son; and Amanda (Karen Cellini), who secretly lived with Blake's conniving, ex-wife, the owner of Alexis Colby Co, the rival to Blake's Denver Carrington corporation.

Throughout the series, Blake's ex-wife, Alexis was constantly creating rifts in the family or trying to harm or take over Blake's holdings. Jealous of Krystle, and coveting that which was once hers, Alexis says to Krystle, "I just can't wait for the day when I see you walking out of this house carrying the same two cheap plastic suitcases that you walked in here with." Krystle, in turn, once remarked, "Half the people in Denver have a motive for wanting to destroy Alexis."

As rivals, Krystle and Alexis had many misunderstandings ("catfights") filled with hair-pulling, face-slapping, clothes-ripping, furniture-busting and lots of shoving, pushing, and rolling about the place. Here is a list.

  • Episode 31 (Season 2) - Krystle and Alexis have their first tussle. When it was over, Alexis says, "But I want you to know that I forgive you, Krystle. Particularly about that little contretemps in my studio. Krystle replies, "In my world, we call it a fight. A good, dirty, no-holds barred catfight."
