"Tell us everything! EVERYTHING! "
Description; Joe Pantoliano as Francis Fratelli, a hoodlum pressuring Francis “Chunk” Cohen (Jeff Cohen) during an interrogation in the motion picture The Goonies (1985).
The Fratelli brothers, Francis, Jake (Robert Davi), and "Sloth" (John Matuszak), the severly disfigured one in the family live with their evil mother (Anne Ramsey) in an abandoned restaurant near a rocky cove by the ocean. Unbeknowst to them, there is a passage to a cavern beneath their hideout that contains the lost treasure of a 17th century pirate named "One-Eyed" Willy.
Enter Miley (Sean Astin) and Brandon (Josh Brolin) Walsh whose Good Docks neighborhood in Astoria, Oregon is facing foreclosure because the Astoria County Club wants its properties to expand their facilities.
Luckily, when the Walsh kids come across a Spanish treasure map of the legendary pirate, the boys realize his treasure will save their neighborhood from foreclosure. With the help of their friends, collectively called "The Goonies," the kids set out to find the pirate's booty.
Unfortunately, the only way into the cavern containing the treasure is below the Fratelli's hideout, so the kids sneak into the Fratelli place looking for the passage. But poor Lawerence "Chunk" Cohen (Jeff Cohen), one of the kids in the gang, is captured by the Fratelli brothers.
As they interogate the scared little boy, Francis, Jake and Mama Fratelli huddle around their univited intruder and eye him with violent intent. Suddenly, Francis growls, "Tell them everything, EVERYTHING!" Frightened out of his mind, Chunk, a compulsive liar, spills his guts about all he’s done in his short life:
“Okay, I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my Uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog...When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out...But the worst thing I ever done—I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: [sound of a person about to puke]—and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.”
At the end of the film, the kids find the treasure in a hidden lagoon aboard Willy's ship (The Inferno). Thrilled, the Goonies fill their pockets with loot, but the Fratellis arrive, steal the treasure and make the kids walk the plank.
But fear not, Chunk and Sloth, who befriends the chubby child, comes to the Goonies' rescue and escape to the shore as the cave collapses. Passing police arrest the Fratellis and the Walsh kids save the day with a pocket of jewels they manage to save in all of the confusion. The Walsh's now have enough to stop the foreclosures and Chunk invites Sloth to live with him.
